ABOUT
The purpose of this blog is to explore the world of Doctor Who in all its forms to draw out useful ideas that can be used in the Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space (DWAITS) published by Cubicle 7. I've been roleplaying for decades and have been a Who fan even longer. With the publication of a new system it seemed the perfect time to generate material to fuel campaigns for years to come.BROKEN HEROES
Broken Heroes is a full length novel by the writer of this blog. In Silver City a secret community play at being superheroes and villains but someone isn't playing by the rules. WHAT I LEARNED FROM: TALES FROM THE VAULT
‘Tales From The Vault’, written by Jonathan Morris, is unusual for a Companion Chronicle in that it is pretty much a full production with 6 voice actors. The main actors are Daphne Ashbrook and Yee Jee Tso, not reprising their … Continue reading

“I wonder why I’ve never seen that before. Now isn’t that strange.”
In ‘An Unearthly Child’ the Doctor pretends to be distracted to avoid Ian and Barbara’s probing questions. At one point he picks up a picture frame and claims that he hasn’t seen it before. This is obviously a ruse but … Continue reading

“When you began all those years ago, sailing off to see the Universe, did you ever think you’d become this?”
I’ve previously discussed how Adric changed drastically from his original concept and in ‘A Good Man Goes To War’ the Doctor is confronted with his own transformation. River Song asks him how his name, which once meant healer and wise … Continue reading

“This is like a holiday–no monsters, no aliens, nothing horrible happening, no one trying to kill us , for once.”
‘The Mother Road’ by Gareth Wigmore was printed in the Big Finish collection ‘Farewells’. Featuring the original TARDIS crew of the Doctor, Susan, Ian and Barbara it begins with the Doctor losing his ship in a poker game, forcing them … Continue reading

“I never noticed the shadows before.”
The eventually cause of all the problems in ‘The Edge of Destruction’ is a broken spring, which it is fair to say the least exciting of all the scenarios presented during the story. Ian and Barbara suspect the Doctor and … Continue reading

“I can’t take you back Susan. I can’t!”
‘The Edge of Destruction’ is a very difficult story to categorise mainly because it was specifically designed to be odd. After a story in the past and a story to the future it was decided that there should be a … Continue reading
