ABOUTThe purpose of this blog is to explore the world of Doctor Who in all its forms to draw out useful ideas that can be used in the Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space (DWAITS) published by Cubicle 7. I've been roleplaying for decades and have been a Who fan even longer. With the publication of a new system it seemed the perfect time to generate material to fuel campaigns for years to come.
BROKEN HEROESBroken Heroes is a full length novel by the writer of this blog. In Silver City a secret community play at being superheroes and villains but someone isn't playing by the rules. When people start turning up dead one woman must discover who is responsible before more people die but she has a secret of her own.

I wanted my next adventure to be set on an alien world, a first for the players. I’d recently read an interesting article in New Scientist about how a moon entering the orbit of a planet in the opposite direction … Continue reading

During my review of ‘The Talons of Weng-Chang’ I noted Robert Holmes’ skill with characterisation. This can be seen in the first episode of ‘Spearhead from Space’ with many minor characters who are none the less important to the story. … Continue reading
‘Spearhead from space’ by Robert Holmes doesn’t just regenerate the Doctor but the whole series. From this episode onwards the Doctor will spend a lengthy amount of time in the same place, unable to use his TARDIS. No longer does … Continue reading
After two historical adventures in a row my players requested a game set in space. One of the advantages of a Doctor Who roleplaying game is that you can give your players variety. I decided to set it in the … Continue reading
“This is like a holiday–no monsters, no aliens, nothing horrible happening, no one trying to kill us , for once.”
‘The Mother Road’ by Gareth Wigmore was printed in the Big Finish collection ‘Farewells’. Featuring the original TARDIS crew of the Doctor, Susan, Ian and Barbara it begins with the Doctor losing his ship in a poker game, forcing them … Continue reading
